Hi just a little about me. My name is Bertha the Bear and I’m the guiding light at bertha net the place to find free software - and learn how to use it! I live in Doncaster, South Yorkshire in the United Kingdom which is pretty central for anywhere in the country.   As I find it very hard typing with paws the bloke who actually does the work, that’s Paul, gives me a hand now and again.

Believe it or not but it is possible to do just about anything on a computer with free software. All the security you need, make DVD’s which play in a TV/DVD player setup, edit your photos and even replace Microsoft Office (well that’s saved a few hundred pounds just there!).

It’s even possible to share your videos and photos with the world for free, while listening to the latest music for free!
